#20: Host game shows

Make reviewing curriculum engaging when you host game shows in your classroom! You can

find PowerPoint templates for popular game shows online, like Are You Smarter Than a 5th

Grader, Jeopardy, Hollywood Squares, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Many of these

templates even come with music and sound effects or you can add your own.

If teachers and students are making their own templates they can use sound effects from these websites:

  • SoundSnap - Requires free registration. You get 5 sounds for free each month. This site should be for teachers only as some sounds are not school appropriate.
  • FreePlay Music - Huge select of music. Free for educational use as long as the final project is not published on the Internet.

FunBuzzer - Game Show Buzzer System (~$200)

  • As an alternative, use laptops as a buzzer. Perhaps use CoverItLive or wiki comments to see how answers first?
