Our group feels that we should change the word "do" to "understand"....meaning teachers are known more for what they help others understand, learn, or achieve....

Students who go on to excel and recognized are a direct reflection of teachers who are not recognized individually but their works are shown by the students.

This is so true. Teachers lead students to become successful. We are successful only if our students show that they are learning. If our students do well, we are successful.
